Choose game mode

You capture a pair by flanking two adjacent opponent stones with your own stones.

Each capture removes two stones. Capture five pairs, ten stones total, and the game ends immediately.

A free-three is a three-stone alignment that can become an open four if it is not blocked right away.

A move is forbidden when it creates two free-threes at the same time. A double-three created by capturing is still legal.

A five-stone line wins only if the opponent cannot break it by capturing a pair.

If that capture would be the fifth captured pair, the opponent wins by capture instead.
